Hello, I’m Matthew Hoekzema. To get the first usual questions out of the way: Where are from? St. Louis, specifically Chesterfield. How old are you? 21, but turning 22 in February. What major and year are you? Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Senior. What are you planning on next? Currently waiting to hear back from Graduate immunology programs at several universities. With those out of the way, I’ll just mention some other things people sometimes ask about. I am the youngest of five kids and I just this year had my first niece born. I am most definitely a dog person and have never had a year where my family did not have at least one (currently at three right now), however we have a menagerie of pets over the years including snakes, birds, and even a chinchilla. I consider myself an asocial person meaning I can kinda take or leave social gatherings. I’m not really an introvert but I definitely wouldn’t say I’m an extravert. I enjoy both group activities, particularly sports and board games, but I also really enjoy time by myself reading (generally sci-fi) and playing video games. (If I had to put a favorite to each of those categories, they would be: Sport: Volleyball; Board Game: Catan or Cribbage; Book: Foundation; Video Game: Hades or Borderlands) Alright, well after all that I really don’t know what else to say so I am just gonna leave this here.
